“ Always a lovely welcome. Staff are amazingly friendly. but I keep coming back for the food. I love lamb and I have had the lamb vindaloo and also the lamb korma. Normally I go for medium spice but last time I went a little higher and it was Ok. I am not normally a really hot spice guy. Every lamb dish was delicious. The accompanying rice was light and fluffy. I should also mention the naan bread - my favorite was the garlic naan. and ended up took some home ... along with my leftover lamb. Portions are indeed generous. Must try other dishes next time. Food prices are quite reasonable. Last time we got offered a freebie small sample of dessert - I forget the name but it was quite tasty. 5 stars all around. ”
“ Great spot serving up authentic Indian food on the corner of Johnston and Jefferson. I played it safe with the mild chicken curry and a little spice on the side. I thoroughly enjoyed it. As of Nov '24 they do not serve alcohol, but apparently you can bring your own wine! I will remember that next time. Service was great as well. ”

“ 5 STARS- Vegetarian Bagara Baingan delicious!! They asked me about the spice level and I requested mild and it was perfect with a nice hint of spice. Hubby says Curry chicken was 5/5! I'm a garlic freak so the garlic naan bread was 5/5. Our waiter gave us a compliment serving of a dessert made with simolina flour, ground cashews & almonds, raisins, pineapple. Very nice to cleanse the palate. Not overly sweet. Very good. ”

“ I visited Njoy twice during my sojourn in Lafayette. Both times, I encountered friendly service and AWESOME food! Everything was made fresh. The soup was delightful, the bread was incredible, the curry was perfect. I tried the Gongura curry, and it was very different and extremely flavorful. I'd never had that before, in the nearly 50 years I've been frequenting Indian restaurants plus one long visit to India itself. I was pleased to be sure. I also got biryani which was also extremely rich and flavorful. The second night I still had leftovers so I just got a chicken tikka. This is a dish often made too dry but Njoy did not murder it, it was tender and delicious too. I cannot find fault here! Add to the fact that they've got outdoor seating and the staff comes out frequently to check on you when you sit outdoors. One cannot go wrong here. ”

Another solid effort. Garlic Naan portion very good and loaded with minced garlic. Basmati rice with each entree. Front of house staff very personable and attentive. Seating and bar area clean. Definitely good enough for repeat dine-in visit. ”

The food was so flavorful and the portions were big enough for the healthiest of appetites. The Chicken Tiki Masala was absolutely magnificent. My Lamb Rogan Josh (spicy) was full of tender lamb and spiced perfectly. The appetizer was the Gobi Manchurian. Spiced and fried correctly. I'd highly suggest giving this restaurant a try. You absolutely won't be disappointed. I can't wait to get back and work my way through the menu. ”
